Under patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, the Dubai Maritime Summit will come back as part of UAE Maritime Week, to discuss an industry fit for the 2020’s, with a special focus on container transport and logistics and China’s One Belt One Road.
The summit, which will be held on the sidelines of the UAE Maritime Week 2018, will reveal the winners of 'Dubai Maritime Innovation Award', a significant new addition to the event which recognises the creativity and innovation in the maritime industry.
The Dubai Maritime Summit draws the maritime sector’s leaders, decision makers, policymakers, high-level government officials, and regional and international maritime industry leaders. Previous editions included some of the most distinguished local and international guests such as Kitack Lim, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO); H.E. Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, UAE Minister of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of the Federal Transport Authority – Land and Maritime; H.E. Sultan Bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) and the Chairman of DMCA; and H.E. Admiral Mohab Mamish, Chairman, Suez Canal Authority; and other notable international economic experts.
